Description

Normann Copenhagen's Superpose pendant light is like a modern chandelier with a shape reminiscent of a flowing waterfall or fountain. The luminaire, designed by Frederik Kurzweg, consists of three bent metal plates hanging one below the other, from largest to smallest. The arched, rounded shape and perforated surface of the metal plates give the pendant an airy and playful character – its sculptural shape looks different depending on perspective.

Superpose gives out a downward-directed light, but thanks to its perforated surface, the luminaire also spreads a soft, indirect light in its surroundings and casts fascinating shadows on the walls. Therefore, the luminaire works just as well above the table as it does when placed as the central eye-catcher of the living room. Superpose is also a delight in the corner of a room, where its shadows perhaps best reach their full potential. On top of all that, Superpose looks impressive even when the light is turned off.
