Design House Stockholm’s Sand coupe plate is made from high-fired stoneware. The 23 cm plate can be used for salads or pasta; it also makes a lovely serving bowl.
Designed by Carina Seth Andersson, the Sand tableware was created originally for the restaurant NM& at Stockholm’s Nationalmuseum. Seth Andersson thought that the tableware’s sandy hue is reminiscent of the museum building’s colour and wanted to leave the tableware partially unglazed – this way the tableware retains some of the material’s soft, raw feel and varying shade.
Please note that the Sand collection was updated slightly in 2022: older Sand tableware has a small NM& logo engraved on its surface, while the newer ones are not engraved.
