Iittala’s Kastehelmi votive is part of the glassware collection designed by Oiva Toikka in 1964. Decorated with strings of glass bubbles, the water green Kastehelmi votive is enchanting both as a single piece and placed in eye-catching clusters.
The beautiful glass droplets of the Kastehelmi series have both an aesthetic and a technical function: Oiva Toikka developed a pattern that would conceal the joint marks in pressed glass and the result was Kastehelmi, Finnish for dewdrop. Kastehelmi was manufactured until 1988 and it was one of Oiva Toikka's most beloved glass series. Iittala brought the most popular items of the series back into production in 2010.
