Description

The HAY x Liberty Matin wall lamp celebrates the seamless union of modern flair and artistic heritage. This special collaboration takes Inga Sempé's 2019 lamp design to new heights and infuses it with a playful twist inspired by Liberty's iconic fabrics. HAY's contemporary vision ensures the Matin lamps find a place in modern interiors, while the distinctive prints from Liberty's heritage give the design a traditional touch.

If you haven't been to London, Liberty is a luxury department store and a historic London landmark renowned for its deep connections to art, design, and culture. What they are especially famous for are their bold floral fabrics, which have been ingeniously incorporated into the HAY x Liberty Matin lampshade's pleated construction. The collection's lamps are also named after the fabric designs. Thanks to the wall lamp's polished brass steel-wire frame, the design marries poetic visual delicacy with physical durability, and Liberty's playful prints add a further layer to Sempé's clever juxtaposition of the classic and the contemporary.
