Selka

Selka is a Finnish company founded in 1985 that manufactures public space furniture for cafes, restaurants and cruise ships, among others. The furniture factory found a new direction in 2019 when five of its employees decided to buy the company. The new owners were enthusiastic to find a new concept for the business, and, after some coincidences, set out to create a height-adjustable laptop table. At the same time, the world was hit by a pandemic, which forced office workers to resort to telecommuting – the timing for the new product idea couldn't have been more perfect, and Selka's adjustable desks quickly gained popularity both in Finland and abroad. Selka's products are manufactured in Nastola, Finland.
