Skagerak’s Vent bench, designed by Chris L. Halstrøm, is a charming union of two opposite materials, steel and paper. The slim, black steel frame supports the classic seat of braided paper cord, giving Vent an organic look that will easily fit both modern and more traditional interiors.
"Vent" means waiting in Danish, and the collection was originally designed for slow observing and taking breaks while visiting a museum. The hand-made seat is manufactured in collaboration with the Danish company Blindes Arbejde, which employs visually impaired people by traditional, handcrafted design.
