Description

Finarte’s Ruukku rug features an abstract pattern in gorgeous shades of beige, pink and blue against a richly hued golden-brown background. The elegant silhouettes and outlines are drawings of the shapes of pots – the name of the rug, Ruukku, means pot in Finnish. Designed by ceramic and textile artist Marianne Huotari, the luxuriously soft wool rug is handcrafted in India and hand-tufted by local artisans. The rug is finished with cotton backing that gives it a sturdy feel and prevents the area rug from bunching up.

The Ruukku rug is part of Finarte’s Galleria collection. With this collection, Finarte was the first in Finland to begin collaboration with TrusTrace, a digital platform for product traceability and transparency. The rugs have a QR code that you can scan to trace the journey of the rug from material to final product.
