Description

Arabia's 24h Tuokio plate is adorned with a lovely decoration by design studio Helorinne & Kallio, inspired by Arabia’s expertise in ceramics and the brand's strong tradition in ceramic pattern making, in particular. The Tuokio pattern is fresh yet nostalgic, delicate yet full of character. The designers aimed for the impression of the pattern being painted by hand as an homage to classic ceramic patterns. This also gives the pattern a rhythm and a distinctive artistic air.

The pattern was created to accentuate the simple, soft lines of the 24h tableware range designed by Heikki Orvola. Originally created for the designer's own use, 24h found its way to the Arabia assortment in 1996, and it has been a firm favourite among fans of functional design ever since. The name 24h refers to the versatility of the range: 24h – tableware for every hour of the day. Tuokio, in turn, is Finnish for "moment" and refers to the fleeting nature of time.

The special edition 24h Tuokio plate in red is available for a limited time only.
