Description

The Oaki chair by Northern looks almost weightless. All joints of the chair are covered which gives the chair its unique, delicate look. The legs rise exceptionally to the full height of the chair so that the backrest is positioned between them. The back legs meet the floor behind the chair rather than directly underneath it, making the Oaki look almost alive – as if it had taken a thoughtful step backwards.

Designer Stine Aas has drawn inspiration for the Oaki chair from Japanese woodcraft and its simplicity. She combined these features with Nordic design expertise and materials. The elegant chair is ideal for the dining table or living room, but the extremely comfortable backrest also makes it an excellent office chair.
