Nanimarquina's Doblecara 1 rug charms with its vibrant texture, designed by Ronan Bouroullec. The rug collection reflects the French designer's signature geometric style with its subtle linear lines and broken strokes that give a sense of movement.

Made from hand-spun Afghan wool, the Doblecara rug offers twice the style with its reversible design. Simply flip the rug to reveal contrasting colours and easily change your décor. Ronan Bouroullec

Ronan Bouroullec (born 1971) has built a long and successful career as a designer, and is justifiedly one of the biggest names in French design. Hailing originally from Brittany, Bouroullec is nowadays based in Paris.

Since 1998 Ronan Bouroullec has collaborated with his brother Erwan, designing furniture, lighting, glass objects, textiles, and much more for a variety of internationally recognised brands – the brothers have worked with the likes of Vitra, Kvadrat, Artek, Iittala, Flos and Hay, to name a few. Their portfolio also features spatial design, architecture and various art projects ranging from drawings and videography to entire exhibitions. The works of the Bouroullec brothers have been acquired to permanent collections of several museums, and their work can be admired, for example, at Centre Pompidou and Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, at MoMa in New York and at the Design Museum in London.
