Description

The Aizome cabinet was designed by the Canadian designer Zoë Mowat. Designed for smaller spaces, Aizome offers storage space also on top of the cabinet: the top has been lowered a bit to help store things there as well, without the risk of items falling off the top. The designer has added other subtle, almost hidden details to the design; for example, a second handle painted in a bright red has been hidden underneath the handle on the right.

The colour scheme is distinctly Japanese. The striking blue colour has been painted using Japanese indigo called aizome, and the black details have been painted with Japanese sumi ink.
