Louis Poulsen's VL 56 pendant is the shining queen of the ceiling, designed by Danish architect Vilhelm Lauritzen. Known as one of the greatest designers of modernism and functionalism, Lauritzen created the elegant pendant originally for the Vesterbro People's Hall in Copenhagen, now known as the Vega Concert Hall. Louis Poulsen added the charming VL 56 to its range in 2023, to the delight of all design lovers.
The VL 56 pendant gets its prestigious, almost aristocratic character from its shiny, polished brass finish. The pendant directs glare-free light directly downwards, and the little holes on the lower part of the shade add to the atmosphere gently filtering light through small holes. The VL 56 pendant is an eye-catcher both on its own and as a glowing cluster of several luminaires.
