String Light Cone Head lamp, designed by Michael Anastassiades for the Italian Flos, has a particular charm to it that ultimately lies in the extra long cable. The canopy is sold separately; alternatively, a base power supply with floor switch is also available.
Anastassiades got the inspiration for the design when looking out from train windows. He was fascinated by how overhead wires connected the pylons but at the same time divided the landscape, and wanted to express this poetic sentiment in his String Light lamps. The lamps have a particularly long cable that, with the help of hooks included in the package, can be hung in a configuration as minimalistic or as complicated as you wish, taking the light source to where it is needed.
