It's solidly built and the design is mesmerizing as it is efficient. I appreciated and found it very interesting that it came with two types of filter: one for traditional and another for American-style (which uses less grounds). Both filters have produced very smooth, intense brews. So long as I use fresh beans, I am able to achieve a nice crema. Compared to a known competitor's design, I much prefer the Alessi Pulcina as the build is much more high-quality, substantial, and produces better coffee.
