Description

Foscarini's impressive Le Soleil pendant lamp was designed by Vicente Garcia Jimenez in 2009. Consisting of irregular polycarbonate bands, Le Soleil creates an exceptional luminous effect – it provides direct illumination downwards and also casts rays of light upwards. Named after the Sun, Le Soleil pendant lamp is a true eye-catcher, and its simplistic white colour makes it well suited for various different spaces, both private and public.

Vicente Garcia Jimenez

Vicente Garcia Jimenez was born in Valencia in 1978. He studied industrial design at the faculty of Castellon de la Plana. After school he went to Milan to develop his creative skills. In 2005 he moved to Udine and opened his own studio. 

Jimenez collaborates with many companies, developing lamps, furnitures and exhibition settings. He has also won numerous awards like Compasso d’Oro Mention of Honour award and Spanish Elle Decor Designer of the Year 2011.
