Designer
French designer Philippe Nigro has worked as an independent designer since 1999. He studied design at the École Boulle in Paris, after which he worked under Italian architect Michele de Lucchi before setting up his own design office. Nigro was born in Nice, but works in Paris and Milan, with references to both the French and Italian culture evident in his works. As a designer, he strives to utilize the special expertise of each manufacturer, but at the same time experiment and open-mindedly explore new perspectives. Selected Designer of the Year at the 2014 Maison & Objet fair, Nigro has collaborated with the likes of DCW éditions, Foscarini and Ligne Roset, among others.
