Description

Marimekko's Kurre tea towel continues Aino-Maija Metsola's animal-inspired designs, joining previous collections that featured beloved patterns like Peura, Ilves and Rusakko. Kurre is a Finnish nickname for "orava," meaning squirrel, and this charming pattern features a lively squirrel family collecting nuts, inspired by the designer's childhood memories. 

The Kurre tea towel is made from a cotton-linen blend and finished with a hanging loop. The cotton-linen towel consists of 46% recycled cotton and 21% recycled linen.

Aino-Maija Metsola (born 1983) is an Helsinki-based illustrator and designer. For Marimekko she has designed prints for fabrics, duvet covers, clothes, tableware, etc. One of her most popular designs for Marimekko is Sääpäiväkirja, "Weather Diary".
