Normann Copenhagen's Hyg swivel chair, with its voluminous silhouette and soft, curvy lines, exudes warmth and comfort. The inspiration behind the cosy Hyg collection is the word “hygge”: in the spirit of perhaps the most well-known word of the Danish language, designer Simon Legald wanted to create a shell chair with a sense of security and solace. The Hyg chair is like a safe haven, a nest where you can feel comfortable, be it in your own study, a busy office or a conference room. The upholstered chair is equipped with wheels and is height-adjustable.

“The feeling of hygge is not only linked to the visual experience of the design; it lies in the overall sensuous experience. A lot of effort has gone into sculpting the shape to provide rest and support for the human body, to make it comfortable to sit in, basically,” Simon Legald has said.
