Description

&Tradition’s Pavilion AV4 chair merges together an elegant, softly bent veneer seat upholstered with leather and a slender steel tube frame with armrests. Pavilion chairs create harmonic ambience by the dining table or as individual highlights of the room. Chairs are stackable.

Andersen & Voll designed the first Pavilion chair for mass seating at the Langelinie Pavilion, located on the castle grounds of Copenhagen’s Kastellet fortress. Langelinie Pavilion has been destroyed and rebuilt several times, and its resilient spirit inspired Torbjørn Anderssen and Espen Voll to create a strong, durable chair with a tender soul. Steel tube chairs are often based on fixed angles, but Andersen & Voll wanted to give the Pavilion chair a freer, flowing form. Despite the robust steel frame, the chairs of the Pavilion collection have an airy and poetic feeling.
