Originally designed by designer Heikki Orvola for his own use, 24h found its way to Arabia assortment in 1996. Finnish designer duo Helorinne & Kallio were given a brief to get inspired by Arabia’s strong tradition in ceramic pattern making and to make a fresh pattern suited for today’s consumers. They found inspiration for Tuokio from Arabia’s strong expertise in ceramics and took advantage of the opportunity to learn from the best professionals in the field at the Arabia factory.
