Yrjö Wiherheimo

Yrjö Wiherheimo (b. 1941) is a Finnish architect and designer. He is chief designer and artistic director of Vivero design company. Yrjö Wiherheimo has worked for several renowned companies and his works are in the permanent collections of a number of museums worldwide including the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, and the Athenaeum, Chicago.

For Vivero Yrjö Wiherheimo designed Rods chair in 2005, a piece of furniture in steel rod with seat and back made of steel wire. Rods is intended for lobbies, hallways, corridors, indoor piazzas, balconies, terraces and cafés. Rods is available also in galvanized steel for outdoor use.
