Vitra's Mynt chair is a highly adaptable all-rounder designed by Erwan Bouroullec in 2025. Combining a warm, homely aesthetic with advanced technology and a sleek, dynamic form, Mynt is a versatile choice for a variety of settings. The curved backrest flows seamlessly into supportive armrests and a softly contoured seat – in this version, both the seat and backrest are made from recycled polyamide. The sturdy star-shaped base is crafted from aluminium.
The most inventive feature of the Mynt chair is its patented tilting mechanism, which automatically adapts to the user's movements and weight. The seat tilts forward or backward in response to your body's centre of gravity, moving independently of the backrest. All that's left for you to do is adjust the seat height to your preference. Exceptionally versatile, Mynt works just as well as a task chair in the office as it does around the dining table at home or in a restaurant.
