Description

Kettle 9093 is a veritable design icon and one of Alessi’s most sought-after products year after year. In 2023, the original 1980's design was introduced in a smaller 1-litre size called 9093/1.

Designed by the American architect and designer Michael Graves, the 9093 kettle was created to bring its users both functionality and joy. Just as the original size, the 1-litre kettle features a small bird on its spout that whistles when the water has reached boiling point. The steel kettle may also be used on induction hobs, and its wide base makes the water heat up faster. Influenced by art deco, pop art as well as cartoons, Alessi’s classic kettle is an excellent choice for cheering up the morning routine, afternoon tea or any special occasion.

Michael Graves

Michael Graves (1934-2015) was an American architect and designer whose playful and jovial postmodernist style will not be forgotten. Graves designed over 350 buildings across the world but he might still be best known for his clever everyday designs, such as the whistling tea kettle he created for Alessi.

Smaller than I like and didn’t realize you have to take out bird to pour. Also don’t like sticker emblem that is on pot.
