Sika-Design's St Catherine bench is an elegant teak bench designed by Danish architect Arne Jacobsen in 1935. Originally designed for wholesaler Helge Wandel's villa, the bench was named St Catherine in the 1950s after St Catherine's College in Oxford, where Jacobsen designed his first major foreign project – the teak bench was included in the plan of the college park.
The St Catherine bench features a graceful yet sturdy design, making it perfect as a dining bench by a patio table or placed next to a summer house wall or under a shady tree. Made of Indonesian plantation-grown teak, the bench is an excellent and durable choice for any outdoor space and will acquire a beautiful patina over the years.
