Description

HAY’s Quilton Lift daybed feels inviting down to the last detail: introducing a rounded silhouette and generously padded cushions perfected with stitching, the Quilton daybed is not only beautiful but also extremely comfortable. In the Quilton Lift daybed, the plush upholstery is contrasted by solid wood legs, lifting it from the floor to create a light and airy feel. Created by design studio Doshi Levien, the Quilton collection consists of various combinations of sofas and modules. The modular structure makes them easily adaptable and customizable for different spaces, both private and public alike.

HAY’s Quilton sofas feature a sleek yet voluminous design, high armrests and deep seats, making them perfect for relaxed sitting, lounging and lazing. Because sofas are always large and visually dominant elements, the designers gave Quilton a minimalistic appearance and paid special attention to everything that cannot be seen: a good suspension, soft cushions and durable upholstery. Thanks to Quilton’s simplistic look, you can alter the look of the sofa with different cushions and blankets whenever you feel like it.

Doshi Levien

Before moving to London, Doshi studied at India’s National Institute of Design, and Levien, originally from Scotland, has training in fine cabinet making and industrial design. Doshi Levien’s designs include furniture, fashion, lighting, technology and homeware, combining creative aesthetics of visual culture with precise industrial techniques. A fine example of their style is the Uchiwa armchair designed for HAY.
