Marimekko's Kalasääski heavyweight cotton fabric is adorned with a timelessly elegant print featuring hand-painted vertical and diagonal stripes, perfected with harmonious hues. Designed by Maija Isola in 1962, the Kalasääski ("osprey") pattern infuses its surroundings with a fresh and airy yet soothing feel.
Printed in Helsinki, Finland, the Kalasääski cotton fabric is coloured in hues of off-white and dark grey. The fabric, made of partly recycled cotton, is perfect for sewing a custom tablecloth or curtains, for example.
