Fritz Hansen’s Ant chair is a true icon of Danish design. The chair's sleek lines resemble a musical instrument, while its elegant form matches its playful name, Ant. The classic chair's seat consists of nine layers of veneer bent into one piece. The structure makes the Ant chair durable, flexible and ergonomic – whether in your living room, dining area or office, the chair sure ensures long-lasting comfort. Chrome-plated steel legs complete the sophisticated look.
The Ant chair is a creation of Danish design legend Arne Jacobsen. Initially, the 3100 chairs were designed for the canteen at Novo Nordisk, an international Danish healthcare company, in 1952. This four-legged version, known also as the 3101 chair, was launched later.
