Carl Hansen & Søn’s BM1106 chair, designed by Børge Mogensen, is also known as the Huntsman chair. First introduced at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers’ Guild furniture exhibition in 1950, the chair is part of a collection that draws on hunting lodges. Both rustic and refined at the same time, the chair was put back into production in 2019.

The BM1106 Huntsman chair is an intriguing combination of luxurious and characterful natural materials. The carefully crafted solid wood frame with skilful joinery is accompanied by a saddle-leather seat and backrest, which are attached to the frame with simple metal straps. The flexibility of the seat can thus be easily adjusted if needed. Handcrafted in Denmark, the Huntsman chair is a timeless design classic that will easily find its place in contemporary interiors, too.
