Description

Moooi’s Noot Noot table lamp is a playful addition to any interior. The humorously named penguin lamp is part of Marcel Wanders’ Pet lighting collection consisting of endearing, softly glowing animal figures made of frosted glass. Each animal is decorated with gold plated ceramic details that add a touch of splendor and elegance to the whimsical design.

Marcel Wanders

The Dutch designer Marcel Wanders (born 1963) graduated from ArtEZ Institute of the Arts in Arnhem in 1988. In 1995, he opened his own studio in Amsterdam and, only a year after, he received a lot of international recognition by creating the iconic Knotted Chair. 

Today, the studio of Wanders employs several dozen design experts and creates designs for well-known brands as Alessi, KLM, Swarovski, and Puma. Wanders is also the co-founder of the design brand Moooi, known for innovative, out-there furniture, and Creative Director of Finnish-based design brand Basta.

Many consider Wanders as anomaly of the design world and he has made it his mission to ”create an environment of love, live with passion and make our most exciting dreams come true.”
