Normann Copenhagen's new cordless table lamp brings light and atmosphere wherever you go. In addition to versatility, the Porta table lamp charms with its minimalist design.
NORMANN COPENHAGEN'S Porta is the first portable lamp in the brand's lighting collection. The minimalist lamp is characterized by rounded and organic shapes: it consists of an elongated lamp shade that rests on a sturdy, cylinder base.
Designed by the Danish designer Simon Legald, the lamp is made of ABS plastic and its white acrylic inner screen guarantees an even glow of light.
The flexibility of Porta is further emphasized by its mobility: due to its wireless and lightweight structure, you can bring the lamp from the kitchen to the garden or your favorite reading nook. The touch dimmer enables three different light settings depending on the desired ambiance, while the USB charging cable ensures easy charging. With a full charge, the lighting lasts up to 90 hours.
The distinctive, narrow lampshade is designed to meet the needs of smaller settings. The lampshade can be turned 90 degrees, so it can easily fit even in compact spaces, such as windowsills, small side tables, or open shelves.
The Porta lamp is designed by Simon Legald, who has had several hit products manufactured for Normann Copenhagen. Legald describes his own style as honest with nordic simplicity: “The essence of my design is for it to be bought and used. Therefore, it has to satisfy not only the functional aspects but also the psychological and aesthetic needs. In my design, I try not to add any unnecessary details. I work with simplicity by highlighting the necessities instead of hiding them. It gives the product a simple and honest expression.”
