Alessi coffee maker
Plissé coffee maker has a unique surface texture that resembles pleated fabric.

Start your day in the right way

The kitchen is the heart of the home, but what is the heart of the kitchen? The answer is the coffee machine – at least if you ask the sleepyheads of our editorial team. Alessi's Plissé coffee maker is an aesthetically pleasing choice: designed by Michele De Lucchi, the coffee maker's sculptural appearance is inspired by fashion and architecture.

The Plissé coffee maker is not just beautiful to look at, but will also satisfy the most demanding coffee enthusiasts with its features. It features a glass jug, a measuring spoon, a removable water tank, and an automatic start-up function that will especially please those who are not the biggest fans of early mornings. So pre-measure your coffee grounds and water, and wake up to the delightful aroma of freshly brewed coffee!

A detail of ceramic plates
Made of red clay, the Earth plates have been glazed with white on the inside, and the unglazed outside has simply been polished smooth.

Earthly beauty

Vaidava Ceramics is best known for its elegant and timeless tableware, which is produced by hand from start to finish at the company's own pottery in Latvia. Now the family-owned ceramics producer is delighting with its new Earth tableware, which is a fusion of tradition and trendy: a hint of Scandinavian minimalism meets the classic ceramic practice. The natural tones and soft silhouettes of the Earth collection frame the food beautifully in both daily and festive table settings.

A product picture of Iittala vase
Iittala's Ultima Thule is based on a special ice glass technique – the forms imitate nature and gradually change as the molten glass burns the surface of the wooden molds.

Cool as ice

Ultima Thule is one of the most known classic collections of Finnish glass design. Designed by Tapio Wirkkala, the series has been delighting Finnish interiors and table settings since 1968. Inspired by the wild nature of Northern Finland and the melting spring ice, the Ultima Thule glass vase creates a stunning setting for both colorful flowers as well as subdued bouquets and compositions of several stems.

The Ultima Thule vase is hand-blown at the Iittala Glass Factory in Finland. The linen-colored Ultima Thule glass vase is a special edition, available for a limited time only.

Paavo Tynell ceiling lamps
The 1972 pendant was originally designed in the 1950s and produced by the Finnish company Oy Taito Ab. Now it's part of the Paavo Tynell collection under the Danish design brand GUBI.

Chase away the dark

Days are getting shorter and shorter and fading into dusk earlier and earlier. Light up the atmospheric autumn evenings with GUBI's charming Tynell 1972 pendant, designed by Finnish Paavo Tynell. The pendant lamp is part of Tynell’s lighting collection featuring conical lampshades and characterful natural materials, both typical of the designer.

The luminaire features a handcrafted bamboo slat shade that glows with warm tones – its large, 90 cm width makes it a striking centerpiece, especially in spacious rooms. The polished brass detail adds a decorative touch to the design.

Muuto kitchen table and chairs
The timeless design of the Midst table complements various decors and styles. The table is illuminated by Muuto's minimalist Top pendant lamp.

Spice up the dining game

If your kitchen or dining room is in need of a little autumn pick-me-up, updating the dining table will surely give the space the fresh new look it needs. Muuto's round Midst table brings together two different materials and textures: the monolithic steel base boasts a high-gloss finish, while the solid oak tabletop has been treated with oil for a natural, smooth finish. The one-legged structure makes it easy to squeeze in one more person around the table, so feel free to invite surprise guests for the dinner party!

Designed by TAF Studio, the durable and robust Midst table is also suitable for restaurant use or as a conference table in the office.
