Let’s celebrate the slowly but surely arriving approaching spring by filling the heart of the home with colors! Finnish Design Shop has curated February’s fresh arrivals that will certainly delight your kitchen.
1. Hem: Bronto espresso cup
Hem's Bronto espresso cup is part of a tableware collection, designed by Supergroup, that is not shy about its existence. The ceramic dinnerware has got its name from the giant Brontosaurus – not a big surprise when you take a look at the sturdy and chunky design of the cup. Exaggerated curves bring the glossy glazed mug to life and vibrant colors are sure to put a smile on your face, no matter how tired you were before your first cup of coffee.
Swedish design brand Hem is known especially for its personal and colorful products, and the Bronto collection is not the only refreshing new arrival this spring. Check out the hilarious Molino spice grinder, which brings life and joy to any table setting. Frankly, this grinder is so much fun to use that food might be in danger of becoming too spicy!

2. 1616 / arita japan: TY Anise plate
In the February frosts, warmth comes from beauty. Finnish Design Shop's newest addition is 1616 / arita japan, a Japanese ceramics brand best known for its tableware designs that combine Asian handicraft traditions with influences from European culture. The result is captivatingly stunning porcelain tableware that combines with each other as well as with other dinnerware.
Designed by Teruhiro Yanagihara, the TY Anise collection catches the eye with its unusual and playful octagonal shape. The multifunctional plates and bowls find their place in both day-to-day and festive table settings: the small TY Anise plate, for example, serves not only as a plate for tasty appetizers or delicious desserts but also as a tray, serving dish or even as the lid of a bowl.

3. &Tradition: Flowerpot VP7 pendant
&Tradition’s Flowerpot VP7 pendant is a design classic from the late 1960s, created by Verner Panton. The joyful lamp became a true design icon soon after its launch, thanks to its elegant and simplistic design, which makes it suitable for any room of the house.
Now the luminaire, shining light, peace, and love all around, is wrapped in new bright shades. The pink Flowerpot VP7 blends beautifully with other cheery colors as well as more neutral ones. There's also something for those who love more classic style: or what do you think about Flowerpot VP7 dressed up in a dashing black and white, or its slightly smaller sister VP2 in a shiny brass finish?

4. Marimekko: Pyykki serving dish
Marimekko gives you permission to start dreaming of summer! New additions from the beloved Finnish brand include a Pyykki serving dish, perfected with Jenni Tuominen's lighthearted pattern which draws inspiration from laundry (pyykki in Finnish) hung outside to dry, swaying softly in the summer breeze. The Pyykki platter is perfect for serving and adding a fun flair to the table setting but also works as a dashing decorative piece on its own.
If you prefer to serve your delicacies without any special patterns or designs, Marimekko has a solution for that, too. Check out the Oiva serving dish, dressed in delicate mint – a shade that is easy to combine with brighter colors as well as more classic black and white.

5. HAY: Colour Crate lids and wheels
Once the food is finished, it's time for something a little less tasty: tidying up the kitchen. HAY's Colour Crate boxes are suitable especially for smaller houses to save space, but their delicious color options will make a statement in larger homes as well.
To celebrate spring, the forever-favorite Colour Crate has put on the lid and wheels. Extra accessories turn your boxes into a mobile side table that you can quickly and conveniently move from one place to another – just make sure your speedy storage unit doesn't roll away completely!
The steel lid fits Colour Crate boxes made of recycled plastic. Both lids and wheels are available in two sizes: M sizes are suitable for medium-sized boxes, and L sizes for large-size boxes. Lids are available in many colors: mix a lid and a box of different shades to create playful combinations.
