Like seemingly everyone on the planet, our team has recently been endlessly inspired by the live-action Barbie movie. We put on our pink goggles and picked our favorite Barbiecore pieces from Finnish Design Shop’s selection: these designs are sure to maintain their charm even after all the Barbie dust has settled.
1. A bubblegum table
Barbiecore design and decor (and pink in general) represent creativity, self-expression, and unapologetic femininity. The trend is truly an unmatched celebration of boldness and confidence mixed with cheerful tongue-in-cheek flair!
A perfect example of the Barbiecore style is the Robot Mini table by &New: the bubblegum pink side table comprises fun zigzag legs and a cute open shelf for storing the book you're currently reading, a bowl for keys or perhaps a jewelry box, all depending on the room you place it in. The Robot Mini tables are handcrafted in the UK.

2. Straight from the Barbie Dream House
Verner Panton's classic Flowerpot lamp was released in early 2023 in a shade called tangy pink, and several members of our editorial team have been drooling over it ever since! The perfect Barbie pink color adorns table lamps of different sizes as well as hanging lamps, but we are especially fond of the rechargeable mini version of the table lamp, Flowerpot VP9.
By the way, Flowerpot was originally designed in the 1960s – so it is roughly the same age as Barbie, with the first doll introduced back in 1959.

3. Dress up your wall
Many a wardrobe has seen a surprising surge of pink this year, but if your style of fashion is something else entirely, why not hang a Barbie-like dress on your wall? The Pink Dress poster, designed by Amelie Hegardt for Paper Collective, features an impressionist figure that instantly makes us think of Barbie in a gorgeous puffy dress.
If you'd like to make the entire wall pink, check out Cover Story's plastic-free paints: Francis is a lovely cold rose while Edith a warm and nostalgic powder tone.

4. Barbie's secret garden
The gorgeously colorful Flower Field rug by LAYERED is like an abstract version of a Barbieland garden. The rug is part of a capsule collection designed in collaboration with hyped Danish florist Poppykalas, whose studio creates imaginative flower arrangements that epitomize the idea of ”more is more”. And Barbiecore is, of course, all about bold and bubbly maximalism!

5. Blowout party feel
If we had to choose just one item to Barbie-fy the home, it would definitely be the Neon Tube light by HAY. The light tube is astonishingly simple to use: just plug it in and click the switch, and the space is immediately flooded with a charming pink glow that instantly transforms even a worse-class Mojo Dojo Casa House back into Barbie's Dream House.
If you're looking for statement pieces like the Neon Tube, we suggest you take a look at the pink vintage gems and discontinued treasures available on Franckly, our marketplace for preloved design.

6. Romantic rose and soft powder
When we think of Barbie, we instantly see a bright, hot pink. But you can also tone it down a bit and go for a more delicate dusty rose or a soft, powdery tone: how about a pale pink Louis Poulsen pendant lamp, for example, or an Artek stool with a seat in powder rose linoleum?
Our pink wishlist also includes Componibili Bio, the bio-plastic version of Kartell's storage unit. Just like the Danish lighting or Aalto classics, Componibili is sure to maintain its charm even after the current Barbie craze is over. You might use it as a nightstand in your current abode, as a living room side table in the next, and perhaps as a hallway storage solution in the one after that.

7. Or maybe just a touch of pink?
You don’t necessarily need to go all-in and make your home a real-life Barbie dreamhouse – although we wouldn’t mind that either! Instead, add a few pastel pink accents here and there. A pink vase like Raawii's adorable Strøm will surely do the trick, as its cute round shape is perfect for the Barbie aesthetic! Pro tip: if even a lighter shade of pink seems a bit much for you, we recommend balancing it with white or grey.
