Sina Gwosdzik and Jakob Dannenfeldt from the Berlin-based creative studio Jäll & Tofta chose their six favorite items from Finnish Design Shop. Some of the products can also be found in their own interior projects.
THE CREATIVE STUDIO JÄLL & TOFTA is formed by product and interior designers Sina Gwosdzik and Jakob Dannenfeldt who run their studio in Berlin. From bespoke furniture to complex room designs, they inject a sense of fun in all their projects, mixing graphic lines and strong colors without compromising on meticulous attention to detail.
Hello Sina and Jakob and thank you for taking the time to chat with us! Could you please briefly introduce yourselves and tell us about the path that led you to where you are today?
“We are Berlin-based interior and product designers. We met during our studies and opened our studio right after graduation and the birth of our first child. We started with a series of products for kids and in the following years we focused on interior design and bespoke furniture.”
Do you have a dream creative project or collaboration?
“We work mainly for private clients and love the personal cooperation very much. Especially when we are allowed to work on larger projects like the design of entire apartments and houses. It would be appealing to design a hotel, because it is a nice interface between residential and business projects and we like the idea of creating a whole new cosmos.”
What does good design mean to you?
“In our opinion, good design is all about attention to detail and an eye for the needs of the user.”

1. An Italian icon
“We just bought FontanaArte’s Bilia Mini lamp a couple of weeks ago for our office as a little red eye-catcher. Sina is a fan of designer Gio Ponti and she loves the simple but all-time favorite shape of this iconic light.”
